How Our Per-Event Pricing Works

Photo 8 quotes per project, not per hour. One agreed price covers the whole event: arrival and setup, full coverage, professional editing and delivery of your photo library within 24 hours. No clock-watching, no overtime surprises, no hidden fees.

What affects the price?

Four things: the length and size of your event, the location, whether you need one photographer or a team, and extras such as instant on-site printing, a green screen studio or a delegate headshot station. Tell us those four things and we will send a fixed quote within 24 hours.

Typical starting prices

  • Evening events, parties and award dinners — from £450
  • Conference and corporate event coverage — from £450 per day; multi-day events quoted as a package
  • Corporate headshot sessions — £450 / £650 / £850 depending on team size (VAT not applicable)
  • Add-ons such as on-site printing and green screen — quoted with your package

Why per event rather than per hour? Because you should not have to choose between your budget and the last hour of your awards night. A fixed project price means we stay until the job is done.

5 Questions You Should Ask The Event Photographers

After finding the photographers that are the right fit for you and your event, it’s important to make sure they’re also the best person for the job. Here are five questions every client should ask their potential photographers before booking them.

  1. What services do I get with this package? You want to know what each service includes (e.g., length of coverage and number of photos), how many days coverage will be provided, and any extra fees such as travel expenses or editing costs not included in the cost of your package. It helps to compare packages from a few photographers so that you can figure out which one suits all your needs at an affordable price point.
  2. How soon after the event will photos be ready? It’s important to know how long you can expect to wait before your final photos are ready and any rush fees involved. Some photographers offer a service where you’ll have access to the online gallery almost immediately after the event so that friends and family members don’t need to wait for their prints or order them themselves.
  3. What is your cancellation policy? This varies depending on the vendor, but some require at least 30 days’ notice while others only allow cancellations within 24 hours of an event, which means all deposits may not be refundable in this case. Make sure they’re willing to work with your schedule.
  4. Who owns my images (copyright)? When hiring a photographer, you must understand who owns your images and where they can be used before you hand over your hard-earned money. The photographer may own the copyright to all photos taken during their event or provide a limited licence that allows the client to use them for personal prints but not commercial purposes without written permission from the vendor.
  5. How long are event photos stored electronically? Many photographers offer clients the option to purchase unlimited photo storage for a small monthly fee, which helps them maintain and organise their files while also saving space on their hard drive.

Why hire a professional?

There are several benefits to having event photography done for your corporate events. First, you’ll have beautiful high-quality event photos that will serve as a great memory of the day and replace blurry or poorly lit event pictures. Second, professional event photographers know how to pose people and move in order to capture perfect event shots. Third, they work with clients on what shots they want beforehand — eliminating the need for long conversations about poses with guests who may be camera shy. Finally, event photography helps create a relaxed atmosphere by setting the stage for those all-important candid photos, which are natural and unposed.
